Kaitlyn Coppens is an artist who lives and works in eastern Pennsylvania. Her current work tackles the social and political "place" of the femme and what happens when they do not fall in line. Inspired by the Catholic church's aesthetic, its obvious ties to pagan ritual, and the puritanism it preaches, the work creates a conversation around the church and how it has influenced society and the colonized history as we know it.
